This was a particularly special session for me…because the “baby momma” happens to be a dear friend of mine. Julie and I met when we began teaching together at Piedmont High – going on 8 years ago (which is just crazy…boy does time fly!) We both had just gotten married and honeymooned a few weeks prior….and so we proceeded to do other things around the same time too….we got new dogs together and did “puppy school”….we went through the “early years of teaching as young inexperienced (often clueless) teachers” together…..we grew, weeded, and harvested gardens and learned to cook together….we took “yah!!! school is out! let’s go to the beach!” trips together….and we’ve done our share of laughing and crying together too over the years. I couldn’t be happier or more excited about the long anticipated arrival of little Baby Girl Lease….and neither could her Mommy and Daddy:). Of course, as it would go, the weather did not cooperate whenever I tried to shoot these maternity pics for them….it rained and poured the first day we scheduled (and I was REALLY REALLY REALLY wanting to do these with a sunset!!!)….then it was predicted to rain for the second time we scheduled – and it was really cloudy. But we decided to go for it….and when it started raining in one county – we just drove to another county where it wasn’t raining at that moment!
And I had to throw this last one in….which was taken at the insistence of a fireman at the station we were shooting….apparently other young ladies have come wanting pictures of themselves on the truck….and the fireman showed me some examples of the pics on his cell phone….I personally just liked the garage doors….but he opened the doors and said we needed one of Julie on the truck….and so we giggled and she got on the truck:)
