I’m a daughter of Christ – and I thank Him daily for this life He has blessed me with.
I’m a wife to a wonderful man named Jesse who I adore.
I’m a mother to sweet Wyatt, Rylee Ann, and Lyla Jane.
I live in a little white farmhouse on Love Mill Road in rural Monroe, North Carolina.
I love art – and I find it in everything – a weathered barn, a rusty wheelbarrow, some tall weeds in the field glistening at sunset, a baby’s tiny toes, a toddler’s long lashes.
I love anything old, vintage, worn, rusty – and especially love the thrill of hunting for it and collecting it.
Over the years I have filled our little home with pretty, old things – I find them, fall in love with them, “have to have them” – then find a place for them in our house or barn. 🙂
I love taking pictures of families – being themselves – laughing, running, playing.
I love getting out the pretty little things I have collected – and using them when I take pictures.
I love the challenge of getting to know a new little person – “finding their buttons” – what makes them laugh, mouth wide-open with joy – what makes them give that innocent, serious stare.
I’m sentimental – and nostalgic……I love looking at pictures….rolling the memories through my mind….laughing and crying…over and over again.
I LOVE that my job as a family photographer combines so many of the things that I LOVE.
(Thanks so much to Almond Leaf Studios for these beautiful images of my own sweet family)
