Sometimes I feel as if my words can “ruin” the story that my pictures tell – like finding out the ending to an amazing book before reading it. Other times I feel like the details I include in my blogging give perspective and weight to the pictures – which is the case for this post.
Every baby brings a sense of hope and anticipation to its family – something I can FEEL each time that I do a newborn shoot. I don’t know if that feeling has ever been as strong as when I photographed sweet Nolan. You see Nolan represents so much to a family who lost so much almost nine years ago. Nolan’s big brother and sister Ronan and Zoe lost their father, his mother Colleen lost her husband – a brave soldier who made the “ultimate sacrifice” for our country. Little Nolan is a chance in life that no one thought possible – and let me tell you, no one wanted to “share” him throughout this photoshoot:). Oh Nolan, you are SO loved.
