Back in January, Tania, a client of mine, contacted me and began planning for a “girls weekend” – complete with a photoshoot – for August. Tania and 6 of her friends from college (and some of them are also high school classmates!) all had their first babies within about 18 months of each other….and decided to plan a little “reunion” with their babies when they ranged from 6 months to 2 years of age. And so, in the blink of an eye (as time seems to pass around here these days) – it was August – and I was out on the beach at sunrise! I don’t remember the last time I watched the sunrise at the beach….but it was just so peaceful…..
And then the babies and mommies began to arrive – and the fun began! For me, the shoot went better than I had expected! I mean, you have to keep in mind that we had 7 babies under the age of 2 on the beach at 7am right?!?!?! I expected lots of laughter – and tears – and we of course had both 🙂
As soon as everyone had assembled we began shooting! I think this might be my personal favorite of the group shots!
But we got quite a few cute and fun shots!
And of course it wasn’t very long before some of the babies began crying…..
And the ones that could walk began running away…..:)
There were some “scuffles” over the beach toys of course too…..
Several of the younger ones were quite entertained with each other!
I think this shot was a “standoff” over some snacks that we eventually brought out to appease a few tots…..
I think two of the baby boys were totally smiley the whole time…..
And another was sleepy and sucked his thumb the entire time……
There was sand eating…..
And more sand eating!!!! 🙂
and more digging!
The boys as a whole seemed to prefer playing in the sand….
And we couldn’t keep the two girls out of the water!!!!
And the other thing with this little shoot is that our time was so very limited because the light at the beach becomes SO very bright in the morning! I just barely managed to get a sweet little photo of each mommy and baby at the water’s edge before we lost the bit of cloud coverage we had!
